Data controller
This site is run by me, Luciano Taurino, as an individual (not a company). For any privacy question or request, contact me at webmaster@taurino.eu.
What this site collects
This is a static site: there is no backend, no user accounts, no forms, no analytics and no tracking cookies. I do not collect, store, or otherwise process any personal or navigation data through the site itself.
Preferences
When you pick a display language with the language selector, the site remembers your choice on your next visit by
saving it in your browser’s local storage (key lang, value such as it-IT, no expiry). Without a saved choice, the
site reads your browser’s language preference once on the home page to show the matching language. This only stores
the choice you made yourself, isn’t used for tracking or profiling, and never leaves your browser to reach me or
anyone else. Under the ePrivacy Directive (Art. 5(3)), storage that is strictly necessary to provide a feature you
explicitly requested doesn’t require consent, so no cookie banner is needed. A future update may add the same for
the color theme. You can clear the saved language at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Third-party resources
To render pages, your browser currently loads a few resources directly from third-party CDNs, independently of anything hosted or stored by me:
- jsdelivr — Bootstrap, Bootstrap Icons and MathJax
- Google Fonts (
fonts.googleapis.com/fonts.gstatic.com) — the site’s typefaces
As with any request made over the internet, these providers can log technical data such as your IP address and User-Agent as part of serving those files. They act as independent data processors for this purpose; see their own policies for details — jsdelivr’s privacy policy and Google Fonts’ privacy FAQ.
Your rights (GDPR)
I’m based in Italy (EU). If you’re in the EU/EEA, you have rights under the GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Since this site does not collect personal data itself, most of these have nothing to act on in practice, but you can always reach out at webmaster@taurino.eu with any question, and you can lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (the Italian data protection authority) or your own country’s supervisory authority.
Changes to this policy
I may update this page as the site evolves. The date at the top reflects the last revision.
